Re: American Gods - Starz Sunday

I'm still trying to understand why the girl on the roof with the telescope was Zorya (the younger) and not the third sister?

All three are Zorya. She's the younger Zorya.

Holy Vonne!

So, the two sisters having dinner with Czernobog, Mr. Wednesday and Shadow, were all the same person, just at different ages? And, the rustling in that room war Zorya the younger?

Hodge, they're different and the same, the three aspects of the “feminine principle” (as a contrast to the three “masculine principles” aka the Holy Trinity.) They're usually The Maiden, The All-Mother, and The Crone. It’s a motif Gaiman returns to again and again – including the “kindly ones” (don’t call them by the F-words, F-ate or F-ury, or they might prematurely snip your lifethread!) In "Imperfect Hosts," one of the three references Diana Ross, Florence Ballard, and Mary Wilson – three individuals but together, the Supremes. (Btw, Gaiman's "imperfect hosts" are Cain and Abel.)

There's more about The Three here --

Pi-o-my, very interesting.

And for the link.

ETA: Think I'll sit in front of the television, and wait for this next episode.
