I think the fact that she is female and slightly smaller than many of the top knights makes her rely more on speed and skill. The mountains last battle is the perfect example of how a smaller but smarter opponent can handedly win

There's several things wrong with this post. I'm not sure she stood strong exactly, but giving you that saying others on that list would run is sort
absurd when there was no place to run. Running wasn't an option.

Second... she's as bigger or bigger than almost everyone on that list outside of the Clegane's. She is big and strong.
She's quick for her size, but comparing her to the Mountain's last opponent (Oberyn) is way off base. She is not even remotely Oberyn fast.

So I love Brienne and think she's a top contender for best warrior, I disagree a fair amount with some things in your assessment of her game.

Re: Greatest Warrior in the Game of Thrones Universe

I think she is actually bigger than Jaime.

She's over 6 feet, and all muscle.

But is known to be shockingly quick for someone of her size.

LTV TOURNEY - Brienne of Tarth vs. Tormund Giantsbane (Sweet Sixteen)

From the original post:

Basic Guidelines:

--Book OR Show info can be used to make your decision (or defend your decision).

--Each Warrior is armed and armored as they generally are in the books. They are considered to be in their "top form," uninjured, etc.

--Weapons do not include anything with independent will (human or animal-- having Grey Wolf does not make Robb Stark a better warrior, because Grey Wolf has his own skills and autonomy). Each Warrior needs to be considered as fighting alone, not with "back up" from friends, and fighting in a standard combat situation (not relying on ambush/stealth, for example).

--ONLY use for consideration what you have seen in the book/show (for example, mentions of someone's prowess 15 years before the book/show would not be applicable).
