LOST Theories So you think you know some secrets of the island? Maybe you can explain everything. If it's original and you can back it up, we'd love to hear it.

Re: THE MISSING ISLET'S "LES TROIS ILOTS"

No little bits though (rocky outcrops in the sea) - perhaps thats something we could see in low tide? My thought initially was that the picture was taken from on board a ship (perhaps the French ladies as they shored up), but now perhaps it was taken by some one who had alot of time on their hands. Perhaps someone who was stationed or imprisoned on 'Alcatraz' or Hydra island. So is this onve of the two islands that have been shown already on our map or is this a third unseen island as suggested by Yung.... hmmm

I haven't followed this thread, so maybe there is some other explanation, but that picture is remarkably similar to the drawing.

I think it is yung.

What has become clear to me (although I am sure you saw this long ago) is that the "rocks" in the foreground of Danielle's drawing are actually repeated views of the main island and "Alcatraz" as viewed from the seaward side of Alcatraz.

Having just done some math homework with my 6th grader, I have a protractor obsession right now. Based on a quick and dirty (imagine, if you will, me holding a protractor up to the monitor) it appears that there is not one angle formed by Danielle's sketch but actually 3. There is the angle she drew, but there are two more which are completed by the shoreline of the large island. Each of those angles appears to be 60 degrees. And it also appears that the triangle formed with the shoreline serving as the base is an equilateral triangle.

Meaning?

Who knows.

But I found it interesting.

Re: THE MISSING ISLET'S "LES TROIS ILOTS"

It does seem to correspond - I'd like to see more - It works out, even narratively I can see the 'picture' being painted but I'm still sceptacle.

Well - we know the size of Alcatraz island (twice the size of alcatraz), so if we can confirm that it is either of the 'two' larger islands on the map (not the main one) or a third island (Yungs missing inlet) then we might start discovering some real locations here - all waiting to see what Yung does with his 3d stuff - Still think he should throw everything away and start from scratch (einstien liked doing that apparently)....

Re: THE MISSING ISLET'S "LES TROIS ILOTS"

I keep wondering if I can use the size of alcatraz x2, then use that to find the size of the whole island as per the scaling on danielles overhead map..

IE : how many times will the main islet fit into the main island ?

and there we go for size....

& I do want to "clear my demon" jays, you should see my hard drive !

Re: THE MISSING ISLET'S "LES TROIS ILOTS"

So how did Danielle get to "Alcatraz" to draw that map?

Re: THE MISSING ISLET'S "LES TROIS ILOTS"

MAYBE... on YOUR SUB CS ? (maybe she was held captive, and could only get herself to where sawyer stood before she was recaptured.. or had to leave completely)

either way you called the damn sub !

even the underwater hatch thing was discussed in here !

all of it is in the first few pages of this thread.

Re: THE MISSING INLETS
Hi yung!

Glad to see you tried this thread again. I do think you are on to something.

although I've heard that mentioned..it seems a bit difficult to swallow the others suiting up to go diving, ? how else would they get down
I don't know if you read the diary, but early on the diarist writes that she goes swimming early in the morning. One morning something big and dark surfaces near her and then resubmerges. She thinks it's a whale, but what if..it's a small sub?

Also in the summer preview for the new season there were a few frames that had (what I think) is an underwater facility. I'll see if I can find the cap.
I found it - here it is -

Most people can't get past the image of the eye. Look at the left side - middle and lower corner - do you see the cylinder? Now look all the way to the left almost halfway up - do you see what looks like a "spotlight" or lens?

cs.

nice.

Yeah - everyone thought I was crazy. Oh wait! They still do.

No, I don't think Danielle drew the maps. I think old Magnus had those maps on The Black Rock and Danielle just took them from there.
