Homer, I don't think it is a ship either. And certainly not a cruiser, which is, as you know, a pretty good sized vessel.
But, in defense of the poster, he is suggesting Philadelphia Experiment - like phenomena which, I guess, would excuse the lack of detail. It is supposed to be invisible after all.
And, destroyers do, to some extent, come in different flavors, don't they?
