No way am I going to disagree with our own Cmdr Spock. Good seeing you buddy.

I was riveted from the beginning. Not sure I breathed throughout the "whole" hour (I got at least, 65 minutes of air-time), which included commercials.

Loved the Michael Burnham character. Although, not a Vulcan, she definitely plays one in this series. Every time she was on screen, I kept looking at her ears expecting to find them growing into Vulcan ears.

Always loved Michelle Yeoh since the first time I saw her in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It looks like she's going to die in this first encounter with the Klingons, so I'm still trying to figure out how she's going to be used throughout the series.

Saru already cracks me up. He's not a coward, but I'm not sure you want him on the "Bridge" when you're going into battle. "I think we're going to die!"

According to the premise of the series, it takes place 10-years before the original Star Trek series. Man-o-man, haven't the Klingons changed physically to the Worf on Star Trek: TNG.

I also loved the philosophy used by T'Kuvma to try and unite his people. As in the days of Hitler, give the people something to hate more than their own lives, and you can create an army.

All-in-all, I loved this first episode, and can't wait for the next. Which I remember from one of the commercials, is out now. CBS/All Access, here I come.

I swear I must have watched a different show. Just not getting it. And since it's subscription, I won't get to try next epis to give it a chance.

(This whole it's available on Netflix outside the US is for the birds. Basically requiring the US solely to fund it. NICE CBS.)

for reminding me, Mr. Bill.

That opening sequence was fantastic. And the way the Michelle Yeoh character walked around the desert to form the shape of the "Federation" insignia was spectacular.

I think they did this to see how the ratings pan out. Putting the series on their All Access format, may not require them to publish ratings. But, I'm hoping the ratings are good enough for them to bring the series to the main network in the future.

Well you canít count what Hodge said. He shills for every TV show out there like heís being paid by the networks!

The whole itís available on Netflix outside of the U.S. is one of the main reasons I am not even going to try this one.

I willing to pay for cable, Netflix, Amazon Prime.. After that... Iím done.. thatís it.

I liked it overall and got used to the makeup change with the klingons. I'm not a big fan of how the enunciated though. But I certainly don't miss the goofiness klingons became under Berman and Braga:

I don't like that Sarek is directly connected to our main character, although I like the actor/character.

I will most certainly not be jumping to their streaming platform. At best I would get it for a month when the series ends and just stream them all. It's too much of a burden to try to get this show to bring in so many new subscribers. They should have had several shows lined up on the service.

What does this mean?
It is not on regular CBS?
I missed it and can not find it ON Demand yet.
I was looking forward to seeing this. I've enjoyed every Star Trek series since the original get go except the Deep Space one (idkwhy -- stage of life possibly).
I guess I'm going to be stuck with The Orville if this is not on regular tv stations. That will do. Something to relax with at night
