We'll see how things go with any more votes. It might sort itself.

Re: THE TOURNEY AT LTV - Run-off Poll

Brienne is the best. She may not always be the best fighter. She certainly isn't recognized as capable by her male counterparts. But she doesn't toss ideals out the window for the sake of political or financial expediency. Of all the warriors, she's the one I'd want fighting for me---or with me, if I had any skill. And she dispatched a certain someone (on the show) causing the boredom quotient to drop precipitously and thankfully. She rescued valuable screen time and oxygen from that waste of humanity. And---while she looked perhaps a little uncomfortable when gazed upon lustfully at a certain point in the story (again the show) she refrained from busting his face open with her fist. Whether or not she was flattered. She has class in difficult social moments. And tenacity everywhere else. No contest required. She's the winner.

That might be a better way to do the Schemer idea, since it would allow for folks who are just surviving minute by minute, like the younger Stark kids early on, or who may be schemers but also have to think fast, like Tyrion.

Plus, we could tell GRRM we were doing a Best Survivor tourney and that might boot him into finishing the series just so he could prove everyone wrong. (Although this story totally ends with King Edmure/Queen Roslin elected by a council and ruling over the Five or Fewer Kingdoms.)

Well-stated, boonian. Physical prowess is obv important, but the ability to inspire and the potential to become mythic go into being "the Greatest," imo.

Who was the certain someone?

Yeah... She should probably win for that reason alone.

Re: THE TOURNEY AT LTV - Run-off Poll

Looks like 6+ is now our cut-off, leaving Tormund and Robb Stark behind, elevating Arya Stark and Eddard.

Re: THE TOURNEY AT LTV - Run-off Poll

How is it that Brynden Tully ends up with no votes?

Re: THE TOURNEY AT LTV - Run-off Poll

The Tully name lost points thanks to little finger? Is the Blackfish really the strong of a combatant?
