Re: What's New/Splunking, Soldiers, + the Andromeda Strain

So it snowed here. The first snowfall of the year is always so pretty, especially when it comes at night and you don't have to be out in it.

It's supposed to snow again several times by this weekend, so i'll be thoroughly sick of it within a few days.

When bought through the astore, they also help support this site, which isn't self-sufficient and doesn't hold fund-raisers or any of that other crap.

Please consider doing at least some of your holiday shopping through our astore this year.

Re: What's New/Splunking, Soldiers, + the Andromeda Strain

It snowed here, which is a rarity before January.

Only like 3 inches or so. The roads are already clear. It will likely all melt by tomorrow and everything will be muddy and gross.

But, the kids had a good time playing in it.

Update: I'm already sick of it after having to clean off and defrost the truck.

Re: What's New/Splunking, Soldiers, + the Andromeda Strain

We've already gotten a solid 6 inches of snow and had most it melt again already. Over the past month our temperatures have ranged anywhere from 45 degress to negative 5 degrees. The last few winters have been very strange for us...

No. I actually backtracked to see what show you went to, and just quit. I've gotten very, very lazy.

I forget a lot, too. What show was it?

So, my yesterday. I asked Sis to come over and see if I could get to and from the car without the walker (she brings the walker, but I can't do that). So, we have a little lunch, get prepared because I'm nervous. No walls or dresser or anything to grasp. Just a cane.

So, she's telling me I'm doing great - to the car. We check my mail, get a Frosty, sit in the parking lot to eat it. In the cold? LOL! We are eating Frosties. And it's cold.

So, I, the driver, YAY, get out, and I get to the sidewalk. I do not know why, but I started to panic. It's a very slight slope and only about 12-15 feet, but I was shaking and couldn't move my legs until Sis let me grab her elbow.

Why am I so frightened?

Sis's BF was in the Nativity thing at the coliseum. She had to go watch him . I haven't seen the coliseum in years (Katrina survivors were housed there, and I was a Red Cross volunteer). So, since then.

That kid all over the news is from somewhere around here.

Re: What's New/Splunking, Soldiers, + the Andromeda Strain

I'm sure being frightened is a very natural consequence of everything you've been through!

I'm not sure I even mentioned the name of the show. It was Irving Berlin's White Christmas.
