Re: Do you like music in foreign languages?

Yes. Some languages just work better for some songs than English. It doesn't matter if I can understand the words or not; if it fits with the song, it's great.

My son is all about J-Rock and J-Pop and at first the vocals really bothered me but now I've gotten to really like it.

I would quite like to talk to your son!

My recent obsession with J-Rock is what inspired this poll. Looking for Last Alliance's album as I type...

Aggie, I agree that some songs really just sound right in different languages. I like a lot of Celtic ballads which would lose their effect if sang in English.

Re: Do you like music in foreign languages?

Sometimes I actually prefer music in foreign languages... it forces my brain to let go of the meaning of the words and just enjoy the sound of the language itself. But overall, yes, I enjoy. Specifically Gaelic, French and Russian.

I'm warning you if you get him started on anything Japenese; music, history, fashion, he'll never stop. I now know way more about Hyde, L'arc en Ciel, and Moi Dix Mois then anyone my age needs to

Absolutely. I especially like nearly any kind of French Pop.

Re: Do you like music in foreign languages?

I got some great tunes when I was in Italy last summer. Another one of my favorites is Brazilian poppish stuff. I like those Putumayo world music CDs too for an interesting mix.
