But, they both have Nintendo DS's, so maybe buy them the Indiana Jones games for DS for now?
Sounds like a plan to me - The DS version would probably keep them busy. Do you have both of the Lego Star Wars games for GameCube? There was Lego Star Wars - the prequel trilogy, and then Lego Star Wars 2 - the original trilogy. Both were released for GameCube, so if you have one or the other but not both, you could get them the other one as well.

So on the offhand someone who plays it reads this.. where are the springs that remove KO status?
I've never played it, so I can't really help, but you might want to check this:

http://www.supercheats.com/nintendod...kthrough18.txt

It's basically a walkthrough of the game, and you might be able to find some information on the springs.

Wow, I must be stupid as well as blind-I could swear I looked at a few of these guides before and read nothing, but there's a whole separate section in that one specially for the wellsprings. *saves* Thanks!

Re: GAMING Quick Question Thread

Not sure if this is the right spot to ask this, but my son has Guitar Hero and Rockband. The guitars for both broke. He doesn't have the receipt any more will they still replace them?

I don't know much about the peripherals, but since you don't have the receipt, it's highly doubtful. You could always contact the manufacturers and ask for assistance. Perhaps if they can't fix them, they'd replace them.

Re: GAMING Quick Question Thread

anyone have suggestions for a good game for a 10 year old boy? He likes playing that old Gallaga or whatever game in the arcades, anything like that we can get for our GameCube? I know those are out-of-date, but we have a used game store in the mall. I'm looking for something not that complicated, basically shooting at stuff. Thanks.

Re: GAMING Quick Question Thread

Gamecube?

Do they even sell games for that anymore?

What about Donkey Kong, Pong or Space Invaders?

Re: GAMING Quick Question Thread

KoS! Thank you for acknowleging my question at least! No, GameCube is done, but that happens to be what we have, and I'm not buying another system right now. But you can buy second hand games at the mall or on ebay, and my kids like shooting things at the top of the screen.

Re: GAMING Quick Question Thread

XBox question here. I think I've decided to get an xBox versus the PS3 for various reasons but I have a question. I know there are 3 different versions of the XBox, each about $100, or so, apart. If I'm just a casual gamer, someone who doesn't plan on doing a lot of online gaming or streaming, is there a need to get the large version or will I be able to accomplish everything with the base model? Basically I'm guess I'm asking what it would take to justify buying one with a small hard drive versus one with a hard drive almost twice to three times as large.
