I'm watching the afterward, and all I can say is that I'm hammered too, Kurt...

I'm hammered too.

I gave up on this show around season 4, because I could see myslf getting LOST'ed with it. But I do really wanna know what happened, lol. I can't find anyone saying! But a few on FB said they were disappointed. (but not wanting to spoil, won't say why)

Re: Sons of Anarchy: Season 7 Episode 13: "Papa's Goods"

All said and done, the last two episodes accomplished some of what I wanted as well as some of what I didn't expect. In the very end and looking back, ends were tied and the pieces fell where they probably should have, but I think I still need a minute.

Mattie, I think you should watch it from where you left off. I don't feel LOSTed at all. This ended as a series should, with resolution encompassing possibility. Honestly, the current satisfaction is on par with Californication, and that's saying something.

Well, it was predictable, and it's not like there were a lot of questions to be answered.

I don't really pay enough attention to what goes on most of he time, so I couldn't remember who the people Jax killed were or what the significance was. Did he actually get his club out of dealing guns in the end?

There was a certain predictability, but I feel like there also wasn't much room to deviate from the path things were on.

I think Jax managed to burn the bridge with the Irish. I don't recall for sure, but I think the old arrangement was more with the Irish and the Tellers than with the Irish and the SoA. Jax killing a King was a big deal, and Connor was right - that was a dangerous move. But with all the Irish bloodshed, I think the message was delivered that they are better off to go elsewhere, unless they want more Irish blood.

Oh, another thing that bugged me was, did they really have to shoot someone to pretend that Jax escaped? Couldn't they just have said that he never showed up? But I suppose then we wouldn't have had the drama of thinking we might see him shot.

Re: Sons of Anarchy: Season 7 Episode 13: "Papa's Goods"

Saying "he just never showed up" lessens their credibility when they report to the other chapters what happened. What an easy convenient way to excuse them from the Mayhem vote.

Shooting someone added credibility to their story to the other charters that yes they did vote for Jax meeting Mr. Mayhem and they were going to carry it out. "He didn't show up" as an excuse sounds like a scam job, and the Redwood Originals were already under a lot of scrutiny from their cut brethren.

I'm glad it's over. I just thought it got so ridiculous at the end.

The symbolism was silly and over-the-top, IMHO, and the ending shot...just, no. I liked the song though.

eh okay, obviously telegraphed the ending to us in the last few episodes...so a Tig spinoff please?

also...wow, how many crow flyoffs do we need honestly....one is poignant, anymore is working a trope.
