Re: NFL Thread Pt. II

In the trash talk page the Niners fans, A.K.A. "Basement [alliterative pejorative deleted]" are clowning the Seahawks for having one of the "easiest" schedules based on opposing team's record last year. Never mind that having two games against a team which finished 2 - 14 is a huge part of that...

Broncos have the toughest, followed in finishing order by the rest of their division. Playing the NFC Least, who got fat last season on the AFC South and NFC South, and the AFC East as divisional opponents this year.

Hodge, looking at the schedule I see the Cowboys finishing 4 -12.

Seahawks schedule:

Nov 10 at Packers
Nov 17 vs Niners
Nov 24 at Titans
Oct 1 vs Colts (SNF)
Oct 8 at Rams
Week Six bye
Oct 22 at Giants
Oct 29 vs Texans
Nov 5 vs Redskins
Nov 9 at Cardinals (TNF)
Nov 20 vs Falcons (MNF)
Nov 26 at 49ers
Dec 3 vs Eagles (SNF)
Dec 10 at Jaguars
Dec 17 vs Rams
Dec 24 at Cowboys
Dec 31 vs Cardinals

Looks like the toughest road game is going to be the first one...

Wow, that looks like an infinitely manageable schedule for Seattle. 10 wins at least.

Cowboys less so. Maybe 8-9, with the wins being tough ones. We'll see what Prescott is made of this year.

Patriots' schedule is likewise a challenging one, except for the divisional games. We may only win 14.

Re: NFL Thread Pt. II

I really feel for the Bears fans. I am FB friends with a Lostie from another board, lives in Chicagoland, majorly a fan of the "ursine" sports teams there. (We raised a few eyebrows about it being 108 years between World Series victories for the Cubs.) She posted something on her page about Cutler getting let go, huge celebration. Then the Bears traded for Mike Glennon.

For those not familiar with the former NC State QB, he's the main reason that Bucs fans have been praying furiously every time Jameis Winston tucked the ball and ran over the last two seasons. He's like Brock Osweiler, but less mobile. And to think that Russell Wilson had to spend his final year of college eligibility at Wisconsin so that this giraffe could get on the field for the Wolfpack. When (not if) Glennon separates a shoulder the man who will be coming out in his place will be Mark Sanchez, unless the Bears can get a very good QB in the draft which is highly doubtful.

Sorry, Gov.

I've got them winning a few more, TBC. Like Peggy Sawyer, I've got them 8-8. And, that 8-8, doesn't win them the Division.

Please, will some team other than the Pats win the AFC-East?
