Mr. Bill, it was another Captain.

Captain Jonathan Archer (played by Scott Bakula), Star Trek: Enterprise, 2001-2005.

Yep, that's "Enterprise". I think they covered it all, there's nothing left to explore. I hope this series will be light on the technobabble and gets rid of the holodeck, those holo-adventures were just filler. What's the point when they have a whole galaxy to explore?

This appears to be good news.

International Trekkies will not be left out when CBS' new Star Trek series premieres next year, thanks to a partnership between Netflix and the network.

I took this to mean that the series will be available everywhere on Netflix. Am I wrong?

^ Your link appears to be broken, sandi. I wonder if the article was removed?

My understanding is that the International flavors of Netflix have different programming and what is available in other markets may not be available in the US. Hopefully CBS will eventually sell it to Netflix US, but I they probably want to squeeze all they can out of it here.

Thanks Mr. Bill. I found a different source. LINK

But I also read this in the article.

In the U.S., Star Trek will have a special premiere on the CBS network in January 2017. After that, new episodes will be available exclusively on CBS All Access, the network's proprietary streaming service.

Re: New Star Trek TV Series: January 2017

I hope it's set after Voyager/DS9, that way they can have cameos, crossovers, etc. Plus it would be nice to be able to see what happens afterwards.

Also, we need Q and Barclay back.
