Re: Wisdom of the Crowd - CBS Sunday

We just started watching this. It sounded too much like The Circle (a truly terrible movie) to be high on our priority list.

But the first episode was surprisingly good, with the territory predictable but done quite well. There was a chilling vibe to the train station sequence, which makes me think this may be more than just a procedural about using crowd sourcing for good.

Re: Wisdom of the Crowd - CBS Sunday

Man, I'm glad I don't have teenagers running around the house.

I asked TPTB (Mrs. Hodgepodge) how much of our daughters life did she keep from me? She said, "you don't want to know". Bless her!

Back in my day, we engaged in what I assume now would be called "Bullying". I don't ever remember hearing of anything like what's happening with teenagers today. I'm sure that has everything to do with "everything" being sent out on "Social Media".

I guess I can imagine a young person being so depressed they could turn to suicide. Yeah, I know, we've heard about that for years, but seeing it and hearing about it, again, on "Social Media", is scary.

Re: Wisdom of the Crowd - CBS Sunday

I may need to watch the Pilot again. I can't remember if anyone mentioned the business relationship between Jeffrey Tanner and Sara.

The courts gave the company Jeffrey founded a TRO to keep Sara from working with "Sophie".

The procedural portion of the episode wasn't bad either. The guy running from the police wasn't a bad guy after all.

I remembered from the last episode, Det. Cavanaugh said he was going to pick up his son for a visit. Well, we got to meet his son in this episode. Not at all what I was expecting.

Re: Wisdom of the Crowd - CBS Sunday

A DoS hits the lab and shuts down everything. This happens while Det. Cavanaugh is working on a new case.

The case revolves around a Tech guy whose murdered right before the company he founded launches its IPO.

We find out the DoS is actually a search for a whistle-blower. Remember awhile back there was a case where the group got some info from an anonymous caller. Well we find out, this caller apparently works for the NAS.

The DoS was perpetrated by the NAS with the help of the FBI to try and find out who this person is.

Re: Wisdom of the Crowd - CBS Sunday

Got a little glimpse into the beginning of Jeffrey's and Sara's relationship.

Speaking of their relationship...It seems the current President/CEO of Jeffrey's former company has leaked pictures of them in bed together.

Glad we got some additional info on the murder of his daughter.

The man who stabbed the guy convicted of the murder, needed "Sophie" to get his sister out from under suspicion of murder.

We now know, he was paid to kill the guy.
