Re: College Football

Biggest games thie weekend are No.12 California vs No.23 Tennessee at 5:30pm ET on ESPN and No. 10 Flordia State at No. 11 Miami ( FLA.) at 8pm ET on ESPN.

We have three people who like teams I hate Nebraska , Notre Dame and Ohio State. This thread could get intresting.

I'm a Golden Bear (Cal Alum). Was not happy this weekend. Even less happy that I bet on the game while I was in Vegas. D'OH!

Freshman QB on the road with 100k+ screaming rednecks wearing orange is not a recipe for gambling success.

Go Blue! I'm a Michigan alum, and a 3L at Michigan State's Law School. I bleed Maize and Blue, and still have season tickets. I tell people I'm happy to have Michigan State to root for in basketball, because Michigan hasn't had a good team since we stopped paying our players. Everyone enjoy the season.

It was a sad sad day for the Bears on Saturday. It's so hard for the Pac-10 to ever get any respect and losses like this to a low ranked team negate years of hard work. It's a shame that we have to contend with such bias, but we do (i.e. Marshawn Lynch barely even being considered for the Heisman with such amazing stats under his belt and outstanding performance ever since he was a freshman.) The only way for this dramatic loss to not affect us terribly is for Tennessee to be undefeated this season.

Re: College Football

Cal looked horrible and the defense couldn't tackle an old women with a walker.

Michigan's pass game didn't look that great but they ran the ball well , Mike Hart had 31 carries for 146 yards , and their defense was good.

Michigan State barely beat Idaho and all around looked mediocre.

USC looked impressive considering how many players they lost and as much as I dislike Notre Dame their defense was great and stepped up and almost singlehandedly won their game.

Bush out for season

Michael Bush of Louisville is out for the season with a broken leg which is too bad because watching that huge guy run people over was something I was looking forward too the rest of this season.

Just a reminder the Florida State vs Miami (Fla) game is on tonight at 8 PM ET , I forgot to add that this game was on Sunday night.

Re: College Football

Some huge games with National Title implications this weekend. No.1 Ohio State vs No. 2 Texas at 8PM ET on ESPN and No. 19 Penn State vs No. 5 Notre Dame 3:30 ET on NBC.

While Ohio State is one of my most hated teams I can't let that blind me to the fact that their offense will be too much for Texas especially minus starting CB Tarell Brown , who actually had the drug charges against him dropped today but he still faces gun charges. I don't know if Texas QB Colt McCoy has what it takes to beat Ohio State yet. State has alot of new starters on defense but they are quality players and they have a good coaching staff.

I am taking Notre Dame over Penn State because again State has a new QB and ND's defense is pretty good. I think it will come down to who establishes the run and special teams , if Penn State is going to win they have to make plays on special teams.

Re: College Football

Well, Notre Dame had a great day today. They played well and basically tore down Penn State. Tennessee had a good day as well.
Looking forward to the Texas/Ohio State game.

Re: College Football

I am visiting folks in State College. People are not drinking beer with all that much vigor. Maybe next week...
