If we don't get out, I guess we'll have to decide who among the 6 of us to eat, eventually.

Spoiler: notes
gift cards make great gifts both for shoppers who are lazy and/or have a lot of gifts to buy. They're also a shrewd choice if there are individuals in your life for whom it is difficult to shop. When bought through the astore, they also help support this site, which isn't self-sufficient and doesn't hold fund-raisers or any of that other crap.

Please consider doing at least some of your holiday shopping through our astore this year.

Re: What's New/Post-apocalyptic Zumba class

I sort of remember him...

So much fun last night. We did the 80s Escape Room and we almost made it. We had one more locked box to get into which would have been the code to get out. It was hilarious. And the setting...an 80s bedroom. It was like all of our old rooms. Pics of Tom Cruise and Rob Lowe, Michael Jackson. Big cans of hairspray, leg warmers and hot rollers, Rubik's Cube, skates, a diary.

Then we went out for dinner, and despite my "no gifts" plea, since we all spent a lot on the Escape Room AND they paid for me, they gave me champagne and some make up. Then they gave me something amazing, from all the women at the gym. When my dad died, they started up a collection for flowers from all the ladies in my classes, and they sent a huge mercury glass vase of white roses.

Then two of my friends asked me to dry a few of the roses after they died and give them to them. Would not tell me why.

Somehow, they had the rose petals made into a bracelet. I guess this woman in MA is known for this, she can make beads out of dried flower petals. So it's this beautiful handmade bracelet with white beads from the roses and silver and crystals.

I cried.

Then we went back to having so much fun, this 20-something girl comes over and pushes one of the girls over and sits WITH HER on the chair, and she's like, "Whose birthday is it?"

We're all staring at her and each other, like who knows this person?

Girl's mom shows up behind her and is like "I'm so sorry. We're taking her back to the asylum now" (joking but slightly embarrassed, her daughter is lit and sitting with strangers having dinner)

So I'm like hey, it's something I would do, so I just start talking to her and I'm asking her questions (she's here visiting her parents) and telling her that if we were doing anything fun after, she could come with us, but we're all old and heading home to bed. Grateful mom leads her away.

Then I pulled out my phone with that new app (Google Arts and Culture), where you take a selfie and it matches your face to paintings hanging in museums. We were dying. Some of the matches...crazy looking men, bizarre looking women, etc. Think we made a bit of a scene laughing so hard.

So much fun.
