Post Re: Gertie in Verse: Open Her Blouse

The following was originally submitted by gertie here. I enjoyed it so much that I stripped it of its prose and reworked it into verse.

Open Her Blouse

At 5 and 7
I was already contemplating
what magazine to buy
and was definitely into
Superman
I can't imagine
Asking Mom in the store
to open her blouse
and let me have a sip
That's just asking
the kids
to be so dependent
Gross

Re: Gertie in Verse: Open Her Blouse

Wow, from Superman to I don't know what.
Sip?

This would make a good gertie poll.

I'm Numb Nuts

You think
I'm numb nuts
Don't you
Wait
I don't have
any nuts
Okay numb brains
Wait
I don't have
Any brains
Okay dumb brain
If I had one
That's what I'm used to

PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE!

You should go look at the threads to get the sense of what I was saying! These quotes are not just out of the blue!

Although, I do have a strange way of expressing myself sometimes.

again, these are really old . . .

Crandyman has another 4 years to go. This could be a very long thread.

Yes, they are very much out of context. I've removed structure and punctuation to try and create something unique out of something as trivial as a few sentences.

It's all in good fun.

Oh, Crandy, I know that. It's curious what you pick, though.

It's fun for me as well. Like, WHAT, I SAID THAT? WHERE'D THAT COME FROM? And then I see that I actually did say that.

I'm not complaining at all.

Odd-Looking Hangers

Yep
Donít know why
I helped put my ex
Husband
Through vet school
I got to peel skin
Off dogs and cows
Horses were hung
From odd-looking hangers
The refrigerators had all
Kinds of animals
Waiting for the next
Phase
Even witnessed
Old Diamond (elephant)
Get necropsied
Weird

To be honest, that is exactly how I wanted it to be read! OMG OMG OMG

I wish I could take credit for these, but really, it is gertie. But this one was my favorite. I think it is the title; "Odd-looking Hangers" just seemed...fitting.

I know some people may think I am poking fun, but I REALLY do find them quite enchanting.

Hells yeah, Xan, hells yeah! I want you to start reading all the GiV-- even if it is just for me.

What a Night

I never
Hit my boyfriend
I wait
Until I marry them
I was so unaware
About this
But the girlfriend
Came to my door
To announce she
And my HUSBAND
Were in love
Guess what I did?
Her earrings got slapped
On the floor
When she bent over
To pick them up
Guess what else i did?
I kicked her ass!
LOL!
It was horrible
At the time
But you should have seen
The husband
When he got home
What a night
