Oh... it was a mess and you'll not convince one person here or anywhere otherwise.
It LOST its way a bit here and there and the ending was still poorly written and poorly executed.
However, you have worked hard to develop what I wanted LOST to be from S1 on. It's a stretch (your theory), but many of your points are feasible. I have always been onboard with the central
plot line is religious in nature. If not religious - than at least spiritual (why are we here and how much can humans change for the betterment of our world).
I too even saw Daniel being in a University setting and studying time travel, physics as to be a counterpoint to Desmond's "faith".
There are going to be many scenes that show you theory is flat-out, unarguably incorrect and many the support it (and many
more than can be debated as to meaning). The bottomline is that the writers (IMO) should have had something like your theory more in mind from the beginning so that they could have written a "perfect" show. Certainly it's very hard to debate the meaning and coincidence of the numbers/flight/verse 316.
1. Still my favorite show of all-time
2. By not clearly stating the meaning of the show (even if through inadvertent writing gaffes) allows us to discuss the show forever. Not just here - but, like, college course material.
After all, some people witnessed a miracle and still weren't believers...
