I give you respect for getting that far. I got bored just a few epidoes before that what with all the investigating going on.

I just watched the first 19 episodes (they're unusually short) and all I have to say is, thank you for the recommendation! I love the fact that as we see the previews at the end of each episode we also get to know something about the theories and concepts featured in the next episode.

BTW: is the 22nd episode really the last one?

Yeah not much action but the suspense and mind games are kind of a nice change of pace from the normal anime. This episode acutally made me angry and sad. It definatly gives you a great push to want to watch the rest of the series.

Re: What are you watching?

I just finished watching this amazing anime called FLCL (Fooly Cooly). It's only 6 episodes long but it has tons of meaning and just so well written. Its one of my favorite animes because of funny it is, and how each episode has a deeper meaning than what you first see. Visually it isn't perfect, but I don't really think its supposed to be, since it is pretty parallel to the story.

So anyways, I think that you should check it out, since again, it only has 6 episodes and it is just so good.

Re: What are you watching?

I'm glad you approve, SICKDude. I'm very happy to see the amount of replies we've gotten. Yakitate Japan sounds great (legendary Solar Hands? Lol, awesome!), I'm gonna check it once I'm done with one of the series I've got going at the moment.
A series just called "F"? I suppose it shouldn't surprise me, but.. wow.

Merryslug: Yes, like SICK said, joooiiin uussss...

Dusk Aria: I love your name, by the way. Death Note does lose a bit of its appeal after it takes that big story turn, but personally I found everything leading up to that point really engrossing. Personal tastes, I guess.
Heh - don't take what I said the wrong way, 2fingers - though the latter batch of episodes aren't, IMO, as interesting for the most part, I still think they're quality programming and adore Death Note as a whole. We cool? We cool

Daniel: No problem, man! That's a big part of the reason I started this thread, to get others to give some of these series a shot. I'm really glad you like Ghost Hound. But whoah, ep.19? I'm trying to take it slow and savor the series while I can, so I'm only at ep.12 so far! You've zoomed past me in a flash of light! I wish/hope there's more than 22 episodes, but unless a new ep aired in Japan on the 10th (assuming the show isn't just taking a break this week), I guess that's the end

Jessie14: Oohhh yeah, FLCL is crazy (but not quite as insane and meaningless as the majority of viewers seem to think) and wonderful. I'm intending on watching it all over again soon - I'm especially itching to hear the music and see the action scenes again, they're amazing (wow I love Canti) - though I love the slower scenes as well. Hah, I'm still not quite sure how I feel about the hyperactive scenes, but it's all good. Have you read the manga version? I haven't, but I may do (it's apparently darker, which I normally like but I'm not sure if I want that for Furi Kuri). Let me know what you think if you ever check it out.

Hey guys, thanks for all your posts, it's great to see what everyone's into at the moment. I look forward to hearing from more new people, but also, for those of you that've already given your input - give us an update once in a while when/if you move onto new shows, too.

Re: What are you watching?

Has anyone seen Emma yet? It's apparently a romance drama set in Victorian Europe, and it looks pretty good from the promos I've seen.

Re: What are you watching?

Just started watching Claymore. It's not bad, although not necessarily the best either. It concerns social outcasts that are half-human, half-demon that are employed as mercenaries to kill problematic demons.

For some dumb reason, it reminds me of Witch hunter Robin, although I'm not sure why. Part of that may be the character design.
