Season 2 is going to end with Walt and Michael coming back into the camp. Michael and Walt are going to part company as they are watched by both our Lostaways and The Others. Michael is going to be approached by Jack and asked what's going on. Michael will say, "It's okay, he's not really my son"
LOST!-Fade to black.
Basically, what this whole season is going to be about is our survivors getting more comfortable with the island and forming up lots of little love triangles. They all decide they are going to want to stay and get to know the others.
The biggest problem is that The Others consider themselves to be much more enlightened and evolved than our survivors. In short, they consider the regular Lostaways to be a gang of thieves and murderers that need to be delt with and gradually exterminated.
The major revelation comes in episode 2.19 when Michael is let into the Others' camp. He is held semi-captive but is shown that their life on the island is much better than our Lostaways have been living. There are mysterious dossiers that he isn't allowed to look at but it seems to be a folder on just about everyone back at the camp.
The Others camp is very ordered and spiritual. It resembles a Japanese feudal farming community with strict adherances to discipline and self government.
The 8 shots fired in the jungle were revealed to be fired by Rouseau at Michael, thought I should clear that up.
Michael is politely asked to leave and he says he will go. As he's on his way out he grabs a knife from an 'Other' and brutally murders him. Michael kidnaps Walt (he doesn't want to go) and heads off through the Jungle.
The main drama back at beach camp is the forming rift between Locke and Eko. Each are forming their own band of followers. Locke's group is bent on becoming stronger than the Others while Eko wants to bide time and eventually join them. Kate and Sawyer finally hook up but everyone love triangle (Ana/Jack) is effected by the growing rift in the survivor community on whether to join Eko or Locke. If you've seen the HBO drama 'Oz' you'll be reminded of the prison alliances that formed up.
Jack is torn and tries to hold it all together. There's also a bunch of Ana Lucia/Kate drama going on which I won't go into.
Oh yeah, Libby was a former mental patient who was in the asylum with Hurley. She has a tight psychological grip on him and just as you think 'Oh yeah, Way to go Hurley! You scored!' she says that she wants him to do something terrible. and murder...(we don't find out who)
Locke and Eko have a brutal showdown on the beach in the season 2 finale overseen by Jack who is mostly powerless to stop it. Eko nearly kills Locke when he is interrupted by Michael and Walt coming back into camp.
The main focus of season three is going to be convincing the viewers for about ten episodes that everyone's memories have been planted by the Hanso Foundation or some group controlling them. Jack and Ana go on a trek through the Island to try and get to some answers. We'll eventually be told this isn't true somewhere around the middle of season three and several 'Others' will join the regular cast.
