I have no connection to anyone that really knows, BUT I would say the "reveal" is going to be fairly obvious (and disappointing to many, I suppose).

The characters in LOST are all delusional. The stories on the island IS their delusion. The "others" are the shrinks who are treating the inmates.

Children are taken away from the inmates for their own welfare; no competent psychiatrist would allow kids to be damaged by their delusional parents.

What most viewers think are "back stories" are really explanations for how the characters became deranged. Michael and son were "allowed to leave" because they were cured.

How credible is it that people fall out of a plane in the sky 1000 ft or more in the air and survive? How credible is it that Mr. Eko is killed by smoke? etc. etc.

What your saying is that since michael killed two women made him 'cured' because thats about the only thing i can remember him doing. Well other than crying all the time and shouting Walttttttt doing my head in, is it just me or is Lost better without Michael??

Nobody dies on the island (at least probably not). It is all a part of their delusion.

You'll see. The others are the staff of the institution. There is no island. There was no plane falling apart in mid-air. All the non-other main characters are loosely coupled -- VERY loosely coupled -- to reality.

Not really... I agree with you... Michel was a boring... until... he shot AnaL and Libby. After that the possibilities were great... I would love to see Sayid torture him.. just leaving enough life so Lock could finish him.

What's all this about "the hatch" (or hatches)? Remember that Hurley got his lottery numbers actually IN the "booby hatch" from another inmate (in his "back story").

Yet another clue to what the big reveal is going to look like at the end of ABC's run. Boone, Anna, Michael, Mr. Eko all will be back to show the audience that no one died. They were released so they were no longer a part of the inmates' delusional, LOST world -- so to the inmates, they died, or were released like Michael. Even the title -- Lost -- is a clue to the gimmick.

Why did Michael get his son back? Easy! If he's no longer crazy, he's entitled to be a father responsible for his son again.

Given TLE and the arctic station, and that Michael MURDERED two people (not crazy? "You killed two of your fellow patients, okay, your sane") pretty much discounts this type of ending.
