Capcom announced today in Japan the upcoming release of the third installment of it's hit game Monster Hunter. Monster Hunter 3rd will arrive sometime later this year in Japan with a North American release unannounced.
The Monster Hunter series has been a major success for the PSP in Japan, here in North America, not so much. However, for Sony in Japan it will help boost sales of it's PSP brand.
Sales of the PSP-3000 continue to be strong, however even the Xbox 360 beats out the PSPGo in Japan. That kind of rejection really can only hurt Sony.
